Director-General of Chinese-Russian Technopark in Chanchung Visited RCTT - Monday, May 15, 2006 - Wednesday, May 17, 2006
A delegation from the Chinese city of Chanchun is staying in Belarus these days, from 11 May. The purpose of the official visit is to have talks with Belarusian enterprises, organizations and research institutions about prospective cooperation and investments in the industrial sector of Belarus.

On 15 May the head of the delegation, Director-General of Chinese-Russian Technopark of Chanchung Mr. Li Changhua visited the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer. The Chinese guest shows great interest about RCTT’s activity, and this is natural and well expected: the Centre’s relations with Chinese business circles, scientific and engineering community had been invoked and expanded owing to direct promotion from Mr. Changhua who has, until recently, been the First Secretary on Science at the local Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.

The parties took up prospects for RCTT’s cooperation with the Chinese-Russian Technopark in the sphere of technology transfer. The relevant agreement is expected to be signed during the forthcoming official visit of the municipal authorities of Chanchung to Minsk (appointed for 4 – 7 June this year).

Depending on the used tools some PU parts need to be manually treated to reach a sufficient finish before coating. This labour-intensive process needs to be simplified and accelerated. Ninth RCTT's Branch Office Established - Friday, May 05, 2006 - Friday, May 05, 2006
Owing to the support from the State Committee on Science and Technology, the ninth branch office of RCTT was created at the Institute of Acoustic Engineering of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The institute's specialization will be made the best use of, and so the new affiliate of RCTT is supposed to assist and promote the innovation activity and technology transfer in the particular field of applied technologies for handling concentrated energy flows (ultrasound, laser emission, high-frequency electromagnetic fields, ion-plasmous flows, thermal synthesis). Furthermore, the Vitsebsk branch office with its activity should make for advancement of innovation entrepreneurship in development of new technologies and equipment, expansion of international partnerships in the innovation- and R&D-related sectors.

The branch office will be managed by PhD Yuri Tsarenka, the Director.

A UK company, over the last two years, has designed and developed a range of heavy-duty lifting equipment for handling loads ranging from 75 to 300 kg. The products are typically used for safe handling of packaging reels and other stock in the food, pharmaceutical and electronics sectors. The range of equipment is made mostly from stainless steel with a good finish. The company is now seeking to further develop the market and is therefore looking for a skilled fabricator able to manufacture and supply components for both standard and special assemblies. Mr. Robert Gohla, Consultant of Steinbeis-Europa-Zentrum (Stuttgart, Germany), one of the European innovation relay centres, visited the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer on 3 May.

Mr. Gohla expressed the great interest of the administration of the German organization in developing partnership with RCTT. The parties took up some opportunities for information exchange and other forms of their bilateral collaboration in the technology transfer area. The relevant cooperation agreement is expected to be to be signed within the second quarter this year.
