The Republican Centre for Technology Transfer has been invited to participate in the forthcoming Belarusian-German Economic and Technological Cooperation Forum (here is Schedule of the conferences, exhibitions and seminars with RCTT participation in 2006). The event is to take place on 22 June in Minsk, in the framework of the visit of a delegation of German enterprises to Belarus, planned for 21-25 June.
Today the economic relations with Germany are of extreme importance to Belarus: it is one of the few principal commercial partners of Belarus, second to Russia by the amount of trade. The industrial, scientific and technical communities of Germany, in turn, have recently showed their active interest in expansion of the collaboration with Belarus in the technology area. This great interest is proved by the very fact that the forthcoming visit to Belarus' had been initiated by the German association Brige to Eastern Europe (Brucke Osteuropa e.V.), with the organizational and financial support of the Ministry of Economy and Technology of Germany. From the Belarusian part, the visit will get organizational support of the Ministry of Economy, the State Committee on Science and Technology, the Union of Owners and Tenants of Minsk, Belarusian Innovation Foundation, the two tekhnoparks of Minsk and Mahiliou, the regional and municipal authorities of Mahiliou.
The German businessmen’s four-day sojourn programme is quite reach: besides the above mentioned cooperation forum, it provides for visits to several high-tech enterprises in Minsk and Mahiliou, meetings with the local authorities, an extensive spare time programme for socializing and culture events.
