Technology Request from a European Company - Tuesday, December 20, 2005 - Tuesday, December 20, 2005
European company with annual revenue $51 - $100 Million is looking for technology to detect bacteria at an initial level as low as 100 bacteria per liter of water, solution or other fluids for industrial (non-clinical) applications. The bacteria detected must be viable, but may initially be stressed/injured (the technology must not give a positive signal with dead bacteria). Technology must lead to real time detection and measurement (i.e. typically result within twenty minutes worst case) and must be applicable to any and all bacteria present. Technology must be widely applicable to water industry laboratories and industrial quality control and must therefore require no more than $20000 capital investment and preferably must be useable for field testing. Technology could also be of value if it is capable of detection of other microorganisms such as fungi, yeasts, unicellular parasites, etc. read more ...
