Session of the ongoing seminar under the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia
The forty-fourth session of the ongoing seminar under the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia concerning the Union State development and devoted to subject “Inter-regional cooperation in the Union State: experience, problems, prospects” was held in Veliky Novgorod on March 23–24, 2016. Dr. Alexander Uspenskiy, Director of the Republican Centre for Technology Transfer, took part in the seminar work with his report “Commercializing research investigation results within the single scientific-technologic space of the Union State: problems and perspectives”.
74 seminar attendees included the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia deputies, representatives of the republican state administration bodies of the Republic of Belarus and federal executive bodies of the Russian Federation, Permanent Committee of the Union State, leading Russian and Belarusian scientists, heads of the major scientific and educational institutions, innovative infrastructure representatives.
The issues regarding the Inter-regional research-and-technology and innovative collaboration of Belarus and Russia within the single scientific-technologic space were comprehensively considered and discussed during the seminar. The special focus was placed on:
- development of cooperation between Belarus and the Novgorod region;
- development of cooperation between Belarus and the Russian Federation regions;
- implementation of the Union State programs;
- problems of increase of efficiency of the use of intellectual property created at the expense of the Union State.
Following the results of the seminar work the participants accepted the recommendations aimed at activating and efficiency upgrading with reference to the Inter-regional collaboration of Belarus and Russia in the research-and-technology and innovative fields in order to create conditions for improving the quality of life and developing the investment potential.
